McFly ‘Shine a Light’ on Plymouth!

Reviews from the tour keep appearing on internet.

MCFLY played Plymouth Pavilions on 24th March 2012 and the crowd blew the roof off with chants and screams.

The band opened with a song from their 5th album; ‘Nowhere Left to Run’ a powerful performance that included guitar and heavy bass. They swiftly moved onto ‘One for the Radio’ and ‘Star Girl’, which the crowd sang at the top of their lungs.

Fans showed their appreciation by throwing underwear on stage and Dougie cracked a joke, “Some young lady isn’t wearing their knickers.”

Shortly after Danny stepped into the spotlight to sing his ballad ‘Walk in the Sun’, a beautiful moment when the artist and the audience connected as one.

Closing the show they performed their single ‘Shine a Light’, which encouraged everyone to get up and join in! Danny jumped into the crowd whilst Harry came out from behind his drum set to give an overwhelmed little girl his drum sticks.

McFly’s ‘Keep Calm, Play Louder’ concert was a success, fans went away delighted.

McFly to host Xtra Factor with Caroline Flack?
Posted by Sandra on 8 May. 0 Comments Filed Under: McFLY, News

CAROLINE Flack will have a fresh batch of hunks to flirt with after ITV bosses roped in THREE boybands to help her with The Xtra Factor.

The presenter — who famously dated One Direction’s Harry Styles — was left on her own hosting the ITV2 show after sidekick Olly Murs went off on tour to the US.

Now TV chiefs hope to secure the services of the boys from The Wanted, JLS and McFly.

The groups are all in talks which would see either an entire band take over an episode or individual members stepping in for stints alongside Caroline.

A source said: “Olly has basically ruled himself out of the audition stages of The Xtra Factor by going to the US to tour with One Direction.

“He’ll be back for the live shows but in the meantime we need stand-ins as it’s quite a rowdy show and works better with more than one presenter. It was going to just be JLS before, who have experience of the show as that’s what shot them to fame.

“But during talks we realised that it might be better if we used a few boybands.”

Caroline loves her young hunks and secretly dated Harry for months before they were outed.

The pair recently split after the singer was spending too much time on tour with his band.

Ramin Kicks Off Tour With McFly Duet
Posted by Sandra on 3 May. 0 Comments Filed Under: News, Tom Fletcher

Ramin, the Oliver-nominated musical theatre superstar, kicked off his 10 date UK tour last night at London’s Royal Festival Hall.

Backed by an orchestra Ramin raised the roof with his powerhouse vocals and even displayed his talents with the guitar, piano and even a banjo!

Playing tracks from his debut self-titled album, which recently shot straight into the top 20, Ramin had the audience captivated with versions of ‘Music Of The Night’ and ‘Til I Hear You Sing’ and ‘Coming Home’.

There were excitement aplenty as Ramin introduced several special guests to the stage to perform with him including McFly’s Tom Fletcher who sang their number 1 hit ‘It’s All About You’ with Ramin encouraging the audience to sing and sway along to the chorus.

Tom commented “That’s the first time I’ve sung that song with anyone other than Danny” and joked that perhaps Ramin would like to take his place in the band. [...]

No matter what genre the McFly boys’ try next the fans will keep coming back
Posted by micky on 29 April. 0 Comments Filed Under: McFLY, News, Tom Fletcher

The Sunday Mirror’s unashamedly huge McFly fan Rachael Wheeler sees the foursome on the final leg of their tour

With the Olympics and Jubilee around the corner, McFly opened the final leg of their Keep Calm and Play Louder tour to the sound of the National Anthem. But, like, a really cool and jazzy version.

Despite the topical name, the patriotic gigs were essentially a greatest hits tour for the London band’s die hard fans (which unashamedly includes myself), with guitar led numbers like Broccoli and No Worries making the older members in the audience whoop, while more popular songs Star Girl and All About You had everyone warbling along in wobbly, excitable voices.

Being huge on Twitter and the execs of their own interactive website, McFly don’t bother with the heartfelt ‘we wrote this song because…’ rubbish and prefer to chat away about random nonsense (Harry got bitten by his cat that day, apparently).

With the gig jumping between the band’s first pop singles like 5 Colours and their recent dance-led tracks like Shine A Light, it’s amazing to hear how the band has moved across genres over the last nine years (yes, it has been that long and, yes, we do feel old).

But despite taking their sound into a more mature place, the boys are ever-energetic and clearly still in love with music and (in a bromance way) each other.

And before they said goodbye for a while – they’re off to record the sixth album – the audience was treated to a quick preview of their latest material, slower single Touch The Rain, reminiscent of their latest album Above The Noise and the entirely different Red, which is funky, dark and entirely unlike anything the boys have done before. Needless to say, I loved them both.
